Caring for Your Gnome
Your new concrete garden gnome has been sealed to protect it from the weather. Generally, they are very durable; however, to prolong the life of your gnome, they should never be placed directly on damp ground.
Placement Tips
Keep gnomes on a well-drained surface such as:
- Crushed rock
- Patio blocks
- River rock
This will prevent the concrete from soaking up too much moisture, which may cause the paint to peel and concrete to crumble.
Annual Maintenance
We recommend that you re-seal your gnome every year with an exterior concrete sealer to keep the colours bright and to repel moisture.
Recommended product: Ace Seal Tech water-based waterproofing sealer
Important: Always leave the bottom of the concrete ornament unsealed so it can breathe.
