Once Upon a Gnome is a concrete statuary business that specializes in quality old-world garden gnomes.
In the back hills of Mission, British Columbia, hidden in a forest of tall cedars, you will find us in our workshop; striving to create the magical quality gnomes of long ago.
Len, a woodworker and artist by trade, and Linda, an architectural, portrait, and still life artist, have always loved old legends and folklore.
The Legend of the Gnome
The stories of the gnome trace back to as early as the 1800s, telling of how the mythical creatures helped in the gardens while their adoptive families slept, keeping them safe by watching over them with their undying loyalty, and helping them prosper.
We believe it's our interest and enthusiasm in the history of our creations, and our desire to produce a quality product using our abilities as artists, which helps to bring our gnomes and other statuary to life.
